$300,000 • Narrowing the Front Door to NYC Child Welfare Coalition
Support a New York City coalition of system-impacted youth and parents, nonprofit leaders, academic scholars, and legal advocates focused on shrinking the scope and scale of child welfare interventions while increasing direct investment in under-resourced families and communities. Host a three-part series, co-convened with JMAC for Families and three NYC foster care agencies, to educate frontline workers about the history of child welfare, the harm caused by family separation, and the importance of prioritizing support for families over punitive measures.
