RHF Strategy

Support Youth who experience the foster system

Organization

Children’s Aid works to end generational poverty for children, youth, and their families in the most under-resourced neighborhoods in New York City. As the leader of the Fostering Youth Success Alliance (FYSA), the organization also oversees a statewide coalition of over 100 partners and advocates working together to ensure that current and former foster youth throughout New York State have access to the opportunities they need to succeed. FYSA’s flagship program, the Foster Youth College Success Initiative, has successfully secured over $67.2 million in state funding since its launch in 2015. This funding provides financial assistance, along with social and academic support services, to improve post-secondary educational attainment for students who have experienced foster care.
